Charmadi is a village in Beltangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. It is one of the points in Western ghats through which motorable road passes connecting Dakshina Kannada with Chikkamagaluru district. The section of ghat is known by the name of Charmadi ghat. If you are driving from Bangalore to Udupi, this is one of the routes you can take - which is much better compared to the dreaded Shiradi ghat route. Here are some snaps from our recent trip.
